A-Z A-Z A-Z
Finding the perfect suit

You need to try on several combinations of waistcoats, cravats and jackets etc before you can be sure you've chosen the perfect one. It is often a good idea to take a swatch of fabric from the bridesmaids dresses to match and co-ordinate colours. This also gives your sales adviser a look at other aspects of your wedding to help you with putting colours together.

Q. How long before my wedding should I book my suits?
A. There is no set time but 6 months before is advisable as it will ensure you have a full selection to chose from and full size availability.

Q. My wedding is in less than 6 months can I still hire a suit?
A. Yes, we can often accommodate for suits when a customer walks in, as we keep our suit stock on-site but if possible a minimum of 3 weeks is preferred.

Q. I've been fitted for my suit but the sizes I've been told I need aren't what I normally wear?
A. Formal wear is cut in a different way to normal mens clothing, jeans for example, you may often buy a 32" inside leg in jeans but would probably only need a 30 1/2" or a 31" inside leg in formal wear, this is because the raise is longer. A good suit specialist will often be able to tell your sizes just by looking at you but due to each jacket style fitting differently being able to try everything on is a must. Putting a tape measure round you or guessing the sizes you normally wear will just not do.

Q. I've been fitted for my wedding suit but I have lost weight?
A. It's always advisable to book a suit refit for anyone that feels like they've altered in shape or even if you just feel you want to check the fit of everything on everyone. Suit refits are by appointment only and must be at least 14 days before your wedding, Incase any amendments are needed.
